Define Self Confidence? How important is it to you? How can you be sure that you are confident? To learn more about this interesting concept, read on!

Self-confidence, self-compassion, inner peace, and personal power are all interrelated. In my opinion, all three are the same; that is to say, they are all positively intertwined. When you lack self-confidence, self-compassion, and inner peace, your behavior reflects this. You will exhibit behaviors that include: depression, sadness, irritability, anger, guilt, blame, self Sabotage, etc. Therefore, it is very important to gain self-confidence, self-compassion, and inner peace. The more you learn about yourself, the more comfortable you will feel with who you are and the more able you will be to use your abilities and talents to be successful in your life.

What Affects The Sense Of Self Confidence And Personal Power

All these things can be caused by a combination of events that occur within our lives’ three main areas (emotion, insight, and personal power). Let me give you an example to understand how all of these interwoven areas of your life affect your sense of self-confidence and personal power. When you are happy, do you have more confidence and personal power? Or do you have more worries, more negative thoughts, and more inner critics that criticize and diminish your self worth?

If you were in a bad mood, would you be more or less confident, more or less compassionate, and have more or less personal power? If you were to lose your temper, would you lose your inner critics and their ability to influence your self-worth? If you were to be more pessimistic, would you have less personal power? Or would you have a lot more of it? You see, all of this can be due to a combination of many events happening inside you daily.

Change How We Think

If we want to improve our sense of self-confidence, we must change how we think and react to situations that cause us to have negative thoughts and emotions. For instance, if your inner critic makes you feel worthless, you must change how you talk to yourself to have positive thoughts and feelings about yourself and your abilities. If you are negative with your inner critic and judge your self-worth based upon what you think you are, you will never have self-confidence. You must change your self-talk to something like, “I am a valuable person with great potential who is capable of achieving great things in my life.”

These inner critics not only take away from your power, but they also take away from your life. You have to become conscious of them and learn how to manage them. You can’t get rid of them completely as you would like, but you can control them. When your inner critics to speak to you, change the way you respond to them. Tell yourself that what your inner critics are saying is only that you are human and that you should not take everything seriously unless it’s true.

Another very effective way to improve your self-talk is to change the way you perceive yourself. Instead of looking at your outward appearance, change your focus to your inner beauty. You must believe in yourself more than anything else and spend some time each day imagining yourself with radiance and success. Picture yourself with confidence and vigor, and you will begin to believe in yourself more. This alone will remove any self-doubt you may have because you will no longer be distracted by negative inner talk.

Final Words

One of the biggest limiting factors that keep people from becoming successful is their fear of failure. The fear of rejection stops them from ever getting anywhere. If you want to build up your power, you must be willing to accept criticism positively. The best way to do this is to be open and honest with yourself about your strengths and weaknesses and where you need to improve. Then write these weaknesses down so they can be examined daily. By examining your weaknesses with honesty, you will slowly eliminate them until you have nothing left to worry about.
